All of these things should be well remembered in order to acquire the best basketball uniform in town. Keep in mind that basketball uniforms are the first things people look at when you are already in the court. Hence, it is important that you have to look your best through the kind of basketball uniforms that you and your team wear.
Basketball Kits And Jerseys-why They Are Central To The Great Basketball Appearance. Truth of the matter is basketball is never without a great basketball uniform, and the way the basketball kit is built will spell a look of admiration or a look of dismay for the spectators. There are many kinds of basketball kits out there in the market; the ones that are popular are the ones that represent the National Basketball Association (NBA) in the States.
From kids to adults alike they don the NBA superstar basketball jersey as if there is some kind of power that emanates from it. Some say wearing a Larry Bird basketball jersey is to equal the Birdman's deadly shooting touch. Others say it adds a fashion statement to street wear.
Whatever it is basketball jerseys have become a pillar of fashion not just in basketball but everywhere where basketball is played. Taking a look at the different kinds of basketball jerseys that have invaded the market through the years you can tell that basketball not only revolutionized the way we play the game but also how we look while playing the game. Some teams have incorporated the retro uniforms in which they show up with uniforms of the past.
In the NBA since it has been with us for a very long time basketball uniforms have gradually changed their look and incorporating it in the present times brings us memories of basketball yesteryears. Being a great fan of the NBA or any league in particular means trying to get hold of the same basketball jerseys out in the market but since the real thing is expensive they go for replica basketball jerseys. These are composed of cheap materials available for budget constrained consumers.
But in case you have the cash to buy the genuine stuff then go for the authentic basketball uniform. These are the same ones which the players usually throw out to the audiences after the game (case in point: Dennis Rodman of the Chicago Bulls usually does this antic). The material would be of high standard and shrunken down to the average person's size. If you're a collector then the authentic pro cut player's basketball jersey is for you.
These basketball uniforms are exactly the ones which the player dons but exactly the same with regards to the size. So if you get the uniform of tallest NBA player (as of the moment) Yao Ming (standing at 7 feet 6 inches in height) you also get the exact size of his basketball kit.

When the word spying is mentioned, it evokes two different types of emotions. We don't want people to spy on us, but on the other hand, we are enamored with spy technology. We think that James Bond, being the ultimate spy, has the coolest gadgets and we wish we had those at our disposal. Playing with spy toys can definitely be fun as it projects us to a land of make believe espionage. When done in a social setting and not invading anyone's privacy, spy gadgets can be a great conversation starter. Everyone likes tech toys.
Some of the most popular tech gadgets are very trendy and geared to the young crowd. There are spy pens, keychains, sunglasses, watches and USB sticks which are all very handy, and most of all mobile for a young person on the go. These are not objects that you would likely leave behind due to their multifunctional purpose. These spy toys all include the ability to take picture photos, record video and audio movies in resolutions that are quite acceptable for a micro camcorder that size. As technology advances, gadgets just increase in quality while the size keeps on getting smaller and smaller.
These handy little devices might advertise themselves as spy cameras but in reality, they have a variety of uses other than spying. As mentioned, there is the social aspect of showing it off to your friends and being the hit of a party, but if you're a professional, these gadgets can come in very handy. For a journalist, a spy pen camcorder is a perfect tool in her arsenal. She can obviously write with it, she can tape interviews with it, she can take pictures, she can dictate notes, and in a news breaking story, she can film video footage. All with this, she can do with one pen. The other spy gadgets are just as multifunctional. Bringing along a spy keychain to hold your keys is nowhere near as bulky as a camera and a voice recorder. When you need these items, you never have them on you but with a small keychain, it's right in your pocket.
Despite these tech toys being marketed as spy gadgets, they really have a lot of uses in everyday life. They are mobile, multipurpose and a great crowd pleaser. It is no wonder these spy toys are in such demand with the younger generation.
Spy gadgets are just plain cool if it is true from what we can gauge in movies. While James Bond always gets useful toys to help him out in his missions, I'm sure what the real spies get are just as handy. They might not be as flashy but in real life, you don't want gadgets to be flashy. They will just draw attention to yourself and the last thing you want is your cover blown. You want your spy toys to be small and easy to hide while on your person or within the environment. And thankfully, there's a plethora of spy toys now available on the market to indulge your inner childhood fantasies.
Among the most popular gadgets available are spy pens, watches and sunglasses. These spy gadgets let you take pictures, record video and audio. Their original intended use as a writing tool, a time telling device, and a sun shield for the eyes all make them very practical in everyday life. In other words, these are very fashionable products as well as useful personal accessories which increase their likelihood of being used.
While it is fun to play the role of a spy, not many individuals actually have any covert operations they need to go on. Most people have pretty ordinary lives. If that is the case, can you justify shelling out money for these toys? The answer is yes for most people. These spy toys can double as memory sticks for their computers and memory sticks are always useful when you have files to transfer from computer to computer and the email system just can't handle it. Moreover, the camera and video recording capability are always welcome in social situations when a bulky camera is not available. You can also make use of the audio recording aspects of these gadgets to record some notes as reminders for another time.
While it is fun to indulge in childhood spy fantasies, there are very practical uses for spy gadgets as well.
In Tibet, when you die, they don’t bury or cremate you. Instead they feed your lifeless body to the vultures, yes the vultures. This burial is called the sky burial or Celestial bruial. Celestial bruial or Sky burial is worshipped in Tibet as the highest pursuit of life. Of three elements indispensable for celestial burial, celestial rock(also known as altar), cinereous vultures, and masters of celestial burial, elestial burial masters are the most mysteriously important.
Celestial burial, which is unknown to people, sounds mysteriously horrific. Celestial burial is a very common way for the Tibetans. In a word, it is that the dead body is sent to a certain place and all expose to birds as prey after being disposed.
A life can be a full one if the person gives all his body to the eagles after his death. To us Hans People, more or less , it is cruel. But the Tibetan think that our way of burial bodies under the ground is more cruel. The bodies will rot little by little.
There are many stories about the origin of celestial burial. It is said that in Tibet the earth is frozen most of a year, it is hard to dig, and there are few trees, therefore, people adopt celestial burial. Another story which says that celestial burial accords with the doxy of the Buddhism sounds more believable. It is said that alms giving is one of the marks of a Buddhist . The highest level of alms is sacrificing his own body. In sutra , there is a story about man feedinghis own body to a hungry tiger to save the tiger. As the sutra says, after people’s death, the soul will part the body to a new turn.. The body is left of no use. So feeding the eagles with the body is the last generosity in one’s life.
The Process of Completing a Tibetan Sky Burial The process used to complete a Tibetan sky burial varies from family to family and, in part, depends on the amount of money a family has to spend. Those with little income to dispose of usually leave the body of their deceased loved ones on a high rock while those who are able participate in a more elaborate ritual.
There are only a few locations in Tibet where the Tibetan sky burial is allowed to occur. Amongst the most important is the Drigung Monastery, at which there is a long flat rock raised above the ground and preserved specifically for the ritual. More elaborate ceremonies include temples and other adornments.
In formal ceremonies there is an entire day before the burial during which monks at the specified monasteries chant, pray, and burn juniper incense around the body. The next morning the body would be given to the rogyapas (body breakers) to disassemble. Some people claim to have seen the body cut, pulverized, and mixed with flour and other ingredients in preparation for the vultures. Others claim to have seen rituals in which the flesh was merely removed from the bones and given to the vultures separately. The bones were later broken, mixed with the same type of tsampa mixture, and fed to the vultures.
During some rituals there is no order to the way the body parts are fed to the vultures. In others the monks feed the birds the pulverized bones first while saving the most tantalizing pieces of flesh for last. They fear that feeding the flesh to the vultures first will cause the vultures to leave without touching the bones after having their fill of meat. The vultures leaving any part of the body behind is considered a bad omen.
Tibetan ornaments also convey a culture. Many of the Tibetan silver bracelets are carved with the six-syllable mantra, which in Tibetan Buddhism is believed to have the ability to eliminate disease, fear of death, prolong life and increase wealth. Some pendants are in the design of Vajra, which in Buddhism is a ritual instrument for subduing demons, believed to dispel all sins and bring people power, courage, and intelligence. Amulets are often silver or bronze small boxes inlaid with pearls or precious stones and are used to contain clay or metal images of Buddha, Tibetan pills, Buddhist paintings or photos of a living Buddha. Another example is Tibetan opals, which fall into 12 categories according to the number of cat's-eyes one contains, each representing a particular meaning. For example, a one-eye opal represents brightness and wisdom, and a two-eye opal represents harmonious marital relationship and happy family life.
Strolling down a city street, your eyes might easily be drawn to the fashionable women and their captivating ornaments: broad and delicately designed silver bracelets, peacock-blue yak-boned necklaces inlaid with turquoise, and dangling earrings made of red coral and Tibetan silver.
These ornaments, previously of a sort only seen adorning Tibetan women, now prevail in many large and medium-sized cities in China, having gained particular favor among students and working women seeking to express their individuality.
Tibetan ornaments seem naturally imbued with a mystical flavor. The main materials may include turquoise, yak bones, red and yellow corals, Tibetan silver and other natural elements. Features come together in a simple, unconstrained motif, and the brilliant colors and bold, wild designs instill high fashion. With little need for complicated craftsmanship, a wild, trendy bracelet or necklace can come into being simply by joining several natural stones, corals, and a yak-hide string.
There are a variety of Tibetan ornaments, such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and earrings, and the crafting techniques include enchasing, inlaying, and wire drawing. In a broader sense, Tibetan ornaments also include living and religious articles, such as snuff bottles, whose hollowed-out designs demonstrate the craftsmen's skills; prayer wheels, which can be found throughout Tibet; barrels to hold rice for offering before Buddha images; sea-snail-shaped ritual horns; and splendid-colored Thangka paintings. All these have become popular.
Compared with ornaments from other regions, the finer crafts of Tibet feature irregular shapes due to the natural quality of the materials, their splendid colors and rough, but unique handcraftsmanship. The designs mostly derive from religious beliefs and the lifestyle of the Tibetan people, the symbols convey special meaning and the deeply-hued Tibetan silver is a mysterious temptation. Genuine Tibetan silver products are handmade by Tibetan silversmiths and each is unique. The originality satisfies the modern spiritual desire of the wearer and their demand for particularity and individuality. And, largely due to the inexpensive prices, these objects are in chic.
It is because of the cultural connotation of Tibetan ornaments that Mou Xianghui, owner of Makye Ame, a Tibetan-style bar and restaurant, has become an enthusiastic collector of Tibetan ornaments and articles of daily use. Mou used to work with a multinational corporation, and through her relationship with her Tibetan husband, she fell in love with Tibetan culture and opened the food and beverage business.
Today, Tibetan-ornament stores are commonplace in fashionable and bustling districts in large cities, such as Houhai, Xinjiekou, Xidan and Sanlitun in Beijing and Xiangyanglu and Shaanxi Nanlu in Shanghai. In addition, some domestically well-known websites have devoted special sections to Tibetan ornaments as well as introductions to Tibetan culture and customs.
Tibet's culture is unique in the world. Due to its extreme environment and high altitudes it has formed its own unique customs over thousands of years. It is one of the aspects of Tibet that most visitors will find most intriguing. Tibetan's hospitality is legendary and many Tibetans find it a great honor to welcome guests into their homes and treat them to a wonderful evening of food, wine, and dancing. Tibet's distinctive communal cultures such as etiquette, dress, marriage and burial ceremonies are colorful, unique, and unforgettable.
Etiquette and Ways of Greeting:
Presenting a Hada (a white woven scarf which symbolizes purity and loyalty) is a traditional practice in Tibet to show respect and hospitality. Hadas are also presented by Tibetans when they visit parents, worship the Buddha, see somebody off, and welcome someone home. For the one who is presenting Hada, he /she should raise the Hada above his/her shoulder and bow. The person receiving the Hada is required to accept with his two hands. When Tibetans greet each other, they use long words. They would add 'la' after the name to show their respect. While everybody is being greeted, the listener must listen carefully without any impatience. They always express certain verbosity in saying good bye. In particular, if the host is elderly, they are repeatedly given expressions of good wishes, auspiciousness, safety, and good fortune.
Tibetan Songs and Dances:
Tibetan folk songs and dances are an indispensable part of every Tibetans'life, especially during festivals or important events. Being named as the "Ocean of Songs and Dance", Tibet has several unique forms of singing and dancing: Guoxie (circle dance), is an informal dance popular in countryside of Tibet; Duixie (tap dance), is usually accompanied by stringed instruments; and Zhuoxie (drum dance) that is popular mainly in Lhoka, Lhasa and Xigaze. Their melodious love songs, with bursts of hearty laughter, keep reverberating over the grassland. Tibet also has the Ghost Dance, Mask Dance and Guozhuang Dance, each of which represents Tibetan local customs.
Clothing:
Over thousands of years, the Tibetan people have created their own unique style of clothing that is adapted to the land, weather and way of life, as well as the history, culture, beliefs and character of the local people. Each area of Tibet has its own distinct style of clothing. Tibetan clothing consists of a robe and shirt. The Tibetan robe worn by men is broad and is normally fastened under the right arm, while the women's are slightly narrower with or without sleeves. Men typically wear white shirts with high collars, while women wear various colors with turndown collars. The wearing of aprons is very popular among Tibetan women, as it is considered to be a privileged dressing style specially reserved for the married women.
Rite of Passage for Tibetan Girls:
In some areas of Tibet, when a daughter reaches the age of 16, a coming of age ceremony/party is held on the second day of the Tibetan New Year. On this day, parents prepare beautiful clothes and various ornaments for their newly grown-up girl. After the rite of passage, there are some noticeable changes about the young woman. Her hairstyle, clothing, ornaments, and name will be changed to show her newly acquired womanhood. Braiding their hair into more than ten braids, girls are particularly subject to customs relating to headgear which is called "heavenly head" ("wearing the head of the sky"). It is an initiation rite practiced in all Tibetan-inhabited areas, but its meaning varies from place to place. It is as grand as a marriage ceremony and its purpose is to show that the girl is grown up and is available for marriage.
Wedding Customs:
After the Tibetan girl's rite of passage, she is eligible for marriage. One of the most important and interesting parts of a Tibetan's life is the wedding ceremony. During the wedding ceremony, the bride and groom will kneel down in front of the groom's parents and a photo of the Buddha while monks chant. The bride will then take her ring finger and flick milk tea three times to salute heaven, earth, and the Buddha. The wedding feast will then begin. Sometimes the groom and the bride are nearly buried beneath the large number of Hadas draped across their necks. When the ceremony is over, a party is held, at which everyone sings and dances till dawn. The wedding ceremony can be as short as one day, but frequently can be as long as ten. During the celebrations, the host will prepare sumptuous food, tea and wine for the guests, who will enjoy themselves to their hearts content.
Tibetan Burial:
The most common burial in Tibet is the Celestial Burial or Sky Burial. It is the show of Tibetans' respect for nature and an understanding of life. Sky Burial is how commoners have been buried for centuries. A sky burial is not considered suitable for children who are less than 18, pregnant women, or those who have died of infectious disease or accident. The ritual of sky burial usually begins before dawn. The corpse is offered to the vultures which are regarded as the "Sky Dancer", and they are believed to take the soul into the heavens, which is understood to be a windy place where souls await reincarnation into their next lives. This mystical tradition arouses curiosity among those who are not Tibetan. However, only the funeral party is allowed present at the ritual, and they all strongly object to visits by the merely curious.
